Ontario Volleyball Association Indoor Competitions

Aligns with Volleyball Canada Long Term Development Model “Train to Train”

15U, 16U, 17U

14 - 17 years old

  • Goals: 

    • Explore the game and hone skills

    • Enjoy competition with lower commitment (time and cost) than the High Performance Stream

    • Build leadership and life skills through teamwork 

    • Supports athlete decision-making to pursue high performance stream or transition to recreational pathway

  • Format:

    • 15U Selection for ‘A’ and ‘B’ team

    • 16U & 17U Selection for ‘B’ team (those who are not interested in, or do not make, the ‘A’ team)

MAC Nickel (15U)

MAC Gold (16U)

MAC Chrome (17U)

    • Practices: 2-3 per week

    • Time commitment: 4-6 hours/week

    • Competitions: 6-10 per year (October - May)

    • Format: regular volleyball rules and positions, fair play in pool play (not in playoffs) (Players line, Parents score)

    • Cost: $2,600 - $3,200

    • Practices: 2-3 per week

    • Time commitment: 4-6 hours/week

    • Competitions: 6-10 per year (October - May)

    • Format: regular volleyball rules and positions, no fair play (Players line, Parents score)

    • Cost: $2,500 - $2,800
