OPEN GYMS
MAC Volleyball will be offering Open Gyms throughout this spring and summer for boys.
Age groups are based on the upcoming 2026-27 season this September.

REQUIREMENTS:
All athletes must register for each Open Gym session.
There is a fee of $20 per Open Gym session. E-transfer macvolleyballclub@gmail.com and include your athlete’s name and age group in the notes
If you are MAC Athlete that has re-signed with a MAC team for the 2026-27 season you do not have to pay, but please register for the open gym.
If you were NOT registered with the OVA for the 2025-26 Season, you must register as a TRYOUT player with the OVA* Please go to Ontario Volleyball to set up an account and register for FREE as a tryout player
If you were an OVA member in 2025-26 and played for any OVA Club, then you do NOT need to re-register with the OVA

2026/2027 AGE CATEGORIES
The Ontario Volleyball Association has defined two “ Age Category Pathways” for competition as outlined below.
Athlete age eligibility is determined by an athlete’s year, and in some cases, month of birth. If your athlete is born between September 1 and December 31 of a given year, they are eligible to play at their “Chronological Age Category” AND the “Extended Age Class”.

12U: Born 2015 or younger (4v4 - Early Contact Initiative)
13U: Born 2014 (6v6 - Early Contact Initiative)
14U: Born 2013 (TLS- Early Contact Initiative)
15U: Born 2012
16U: Born 2011
17U: Born 2010
18U: Born 2009
AGE CATEGORY:
Extended Age Class (2026/27)
13U: Born between September 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013
14U: Born between September 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012
15U: Born between September 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011
16U: Born between September 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010
17U: Born between September 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009
18U: Born between September 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008
