We are happy to introduce you to our 12U Head Coach, Ron Merriam. Ron has been with MAC in various capacities including head coach, assistant coach and has even held the role of president during his 10 year tenure with the club.

Trevor began playing volleyball at the club level in Cayuga in grade 9. His Senior Cayuga Secondary School team in grade 12 went to AA OFSSA in 1997 and AAA OFSSA in 1998 where he placed 4th. While in grade 12 and during his OAC year, he was an assistant coach to the Sr girls volleyball team at Cayuga Secondary School. After high school, Trevor went on to play varsity for 2 years at Sheridan College. Trevor has continued to play men’s competitive volleyball in Hamilton for 15 years.
Trevor was an assistant coach with MAC Graphite last season and has previous soccer coaching to his name as well.

Eli has been with the MAC Club for the past 7 years, the first 6 as a player, learning from a variety of coaches and developing a strong understanding of the game. This past season he took on the role of coaching the 13U team, leading the Graphite group to a silver and a gold medal. Eli has also been working with the MVP Camps for 4 years, starting as a volunteer and progressing to his present role as a head coach.

We are excited to share the news that Marcin Jedrzejewski will be taking the Head Coaching role for the 15U boys for the upcoming season.
Marcin is a decorated volleyball player having success at both the club level and through his post secondary career.
-2 High School City Championships with Cathedral in Hamilton
-5 years with MAC Volleyball while earning a spot on the 16U Regional Team and his team earning a Provincial Bronze Medal in Division 1 Tier 1
-Played 1 season at McGill University
-Played 1 season at McMaster University winning OUA Gold
-Played 3 seasons at Mohawk College winning OCAA Bronze, Silver and finally capturing Gold in his final season

James is a Certified Advanced Development Coach (formerly called NCCP Level 2) and has been involved in volleyball for over 30 years either as a player or a coach.
James is a former player for Canada’s Mens National Volleyball Team. Prior to that, he played for the University of Manitoba Bisons, helping to capture both Gold and Silver medals at the National Championships. While attending university, he also played for Team Canada in the World University Games held in the former Yugoslavia. In his late teens, he played 3 years of club volleyball for the Bison Volleyball Club and was a member of Canada’s Junior National Team for 2 years, serving as team captain in his last year. In his senior year of high school at River East Collegiate in Winnipeg Manitoba, his team won Gold in the Provincial AAAA High School Volleyball Championships and was named the tournament MVP.
Before re-locating to Southern Ontario in 2017, James coached with the Winman Volleyball Club in Winnipeg Manitoba for 9 years and Manitoba Provincial Teams for 3 years.

Dave Perron is a Physical Education teacher at ACMT and has been around volleyball for the last 30 years as a player and a coach. He started playing and coaching in Sept-Iles, QC at the age of 16.
As a player, Dave played College volleyball and badminton at the Cégep de Sept-Iles for 3 years and went on to be a varsity athlete in both sports at the University of Québec in Chicoutimi. He has been playing beach and indoor ever since.
Dave has coached club and high school volleyball in Québec and Ontario. He tries to transmit his love of the game to the players by not only helping them become better athletes but also better teammates and people.
Through the years, most of his club teams competed in Premier. Last season, his 16U MAC boys finished with a ranking of 6th in Ontario. In recent years, he has won 5 high school city championships, a bronze medal at OFSAA A 2018 and a gold medal at OFSAA A 2019 with the ACMT girls.

Brad McClure will be head coaching the 18U group for the upcoming season and brings a variety of coaching experiences to the table. His coaching career started while he was completing his undergraduate degree where he began coaching a youth team in the Cambridge area and has sought out unique coaching challenges and experiences ever since. His extensive coaching background includes being the head coach of the Conestoga Women's Volleyball team and assistant coaching roles with the Western University Women's Program and Fanshawe College Men's Program.
In addition to indoor coaching, Brad is a certified Performance Beach Coach (formerly NCCP Level 3) and has coached with the Team Ontario High Performance Beach for the past 5+ seasons. During this time he has coached within the full-time training group and coached athletes of both genders across a variety of age groups (U16 to U22). Several coaching highlights from his beach experiences include providing support to athletes internationally at training camps, FIVB adult and youth world championship events and head coaching the Team Ontario Female Canada Games team that captured silver at the 2017 Canada Summer Games.
He is looking forward to working with the 18U group this season while also helping to grow the sport of volleyball in the Hamilton area.
